TUSHY over Toilet Paper: Affordable Bidet Attachment

Posted by

We live in an interesting time when many people in the world are hoarding toiler paper. Do they have chronic diarrhea? Are they building toilet paper castles and singing, “the poop never bothered me anyway?” We’ll never know. But we do know that there are better alternatives to toilet paper. TUSHY is an amazing and affordable bidet attachment for your toilet.

Let’s rewind a little and talk about bidets. They are used in Europe as well as many countries in South East Asia. Europeans simply consider them a better way to wash yourself. They usually have them as a separate basin next to the toilet so that you simply go from pooping to washing your butt in a step or two. In Japan they have smart toilet seats that heat your butt, play sounds for those who have shy bladders and they have various bidet settings to match your every need. They also have sinks on the backs of toilets so you can wash your hands then reuse the water for your next flush.

In countries such as Thailand, flushing toilet paper isn’t is too much for the plumbing system. They have detachable shower heads meant to help you clean your butt without the need for toilet paper. The USA is, for some reason, super behind on butt-washing and it’s not sustainable for the planet. There are many ways that you can add a bidet to your bathroom. You can buy a fancy Japanese toilet seat for just a few hundred dollars. The cheapest, however, is to get yourself a TUSHY product.

TUSHY Products

TUSHY sells attachments that are easily installed on to any toilet. While they are currently all sold out, you can pre-order their products and have them shipped by April 20th. My husband just ordered himself the simplest, cheapest option. The TUSHY Classic, white with a metal knob for just $79 including shipping! It is marked down from $99 right now but I’m not sure if this is just a gimmick to make it seem cheaper or not. They have many different color options and combos that cost a little extra.

The only set back to their classic bidet is that it’s cold water. Starting at $109, you can get the TUSHY SPA that lets you control the temperature of the water. While spraying cold water up your butthole is a great way to wake up, the spa option is better for people like me who cannot stand the cold. TUSHY also sells accessories such as the ottoman (lifting your legs makes pooping easier), bamboo toilet paper, bamboo towels, miscellaneous merchandise and finally a portable bidet!

While I am a huge fan of good old fashioned toilet paper, I wish I had this portable bidet on my travels in Tibet. Or that time that I got food poisoning in Vietnam. There are so many times I could have really used this foldable, $29 device that comes in four fun color options! We are so excited to get ours and try it out for ourselves.
