The Grownup was the last Gillian Flynn book that I had read. After Gone Girl, Sharp Objects and Dark Places I was dying for more from the author. She currently doesn’t have any other books published. If you haven’t already, I definitely recommend that you read The Grownup.
What is the Grownup about?

However, when the “psychic” visits the eerie Victorian home that has been the source of Susan’s terror and grief, she realizes she may not have to pretend to believe in ghosts anymore. Miles, Susan’s teenage stepson, doesn’t help matters with his disturbing manner and grisly imagination. The three are soon locked in a chilling battle to discover where the evil truly lurks and what, if anything, can be done to escape it.”

Powerful Short Story
This short story grabs the reader’s attention quickly and keeps them turning pages. Since the story was so short, I always expected that the twist I had just read was the final one. However, they kept coming! I managed to read the entire book in just a few hours. It was bitter-sweet to get to the end of Gillian Flynn’s last unread book. I am so excited for her to write more!
In an interview for Chicago Magazine, Gillian Flynn gave some much anticipated news. She has been working on a new novel! Here’s what she said:
“It’s very sinister and dark,” Flynn told Chicago Magazine. “And there are definitely some funny pieces to it. Brett, my husband, has read the first page, which is a fucking spectacular first page. It’s the greatest first page that’s ever been written.“
