We live in Warwick for a few months before finally finding the time to pop into DiVine Italian Bistro. When we moved to Oakland Beach, we had no idea that there were so many great Italian spots. Our first discovery was Antonio’s Bakery, where we’ve gone more times than I care to admit. Then we discovered DiVine, and our diets suffered immensely.

About DiVine Italian Bistro

Frustratingly enough, DiVine does not have an about section that I can find. So I can’t tell you too much about the history of the restaurant or the owners. However, I can tell you that it is part of the Fresco chain of restaurants. On their website for Fresco RI, you can see DiVine Italian Bistro on their restaurant list next to the Frescos in West Warwick, Cranston, and East Greenwich.

I wish I knew a little more about the restaurant; I may update it if I found some info on my next visit. I do know that they are a small restaurant, and they’ve been open for dine-in and take-out. We went there when it was almost completely empty, which is rare for them. Mondays are especially busy because they have specials that draw crowds. You should definitely make a reservation by calling +1 (401) 921-3300 if you want to get a spot.

The Food

While I usually go for a more plant-based meal, I was super tempted by DiVine’s Tossed Lasagna for $12. My husband ended up trying the Bolognese Pizza, and both plates were licked clean. The tossed lasagna was absolutely perfect, and the portions are extremely generous. The pizza was divine (see what I did there?) It was an authentic Italian-style crispy thin crust pizza. Next time a pizza craving hits, we know where to go.

I also found it interesting that the typical Italian food menu is paired with a lot of seafood. I explored DiVine Italian Bistro’s sister Fresco restaurants’ menus, and they did not have quite as big of a seafood selection. I think that since it’s located within walking distance from Oakland beach, the wide selection of seafood is a great touch. Plus, DiVine has great dessert options and a wine menu perfect for pairing with the different food options.

Summary: DiVine Italian Bistro

Our few visits to dine-in and take-out at DiVine were amazing. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was always perfect and surprisingly affordable for the quality, especially compared to other restaurants. But you don’t have to take my word for it; see it for yourself.
