We visited Trinity Brewhouse on our journey to get ALL the stamps in our RI Brewery Passport! Although we’ve already visited in the past, we wanted to follow the rules and refused to stamp our passports without trying their beers again. Unfortunately, our second experience here wasn’t as great as our first.

Our Experience at Trinity Brewhouse

The first time we went to this brewery was when we first moved to the USA and were looking for a beer garden. There were only a few tables outside at the time, and it was far from my definition of a beer garden. But it was still lovely to drink beer outside, plus the food was excellent, and there were even some vegan options!

Our second visit took place last weekend, and it was not as great as we expected. We were lucky to get a reservation, but the only seat they had available was right next to a door that was left propped open. It was completely freezing, and when we asked if we could move to one of the four empty tables, they told us no, because they were reserved. However, 30 minutes and four beers later, they were still available, and we were leaving only because we were frozen to the bone.

It was a little weird that they wouldn’t let us sit there even temporarily or when they saw that no one was coming to claim their reservation. That and the IPA and sour beer were terrible. However, the Pils and Kolsch made up for them. I’d probably come back on a warm day when I can sit outside just for that pilsner!

Summary

Trinity Brewhouse is beautifully decorated and has a great vibe. If it weren’t for the one waitress who wouldn’t let us move into a warmer spot, we would have enjoyed our experience. Even though their sour tasted more like a gone-off mimosa than a beer, their pilsner is delicious and makes up for it!
