Crafted on the Cape is a great brewery located in Cape May, New Jersey. We happened to visit Cape May on a gloomy rainy day and we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful beaches. With a few hours to kill between visiting the light house and going whale watching, we discovered Crafted on the Cape! Did I mention that it was fall so they had delicious European style beers on tap? Needless to say, I was in heaven.
About Crafted on the Cape
Crafted on the Cape was born in July 2011 when Ryan Krill, Bob Krill, and the CMBC Brew Crew found the perfect spot at the Cape May Airport and purchased a forklift. The next step was delivering their first keg of Cape May IPA to Cabanas Beach Bar and Grill. Since then they have dedicated themselves to crafting balanced and flavorful ales and lagers for thousands of happy locals and visitors – yes, they’re talking about us!
“Cape May Brewing Company began with one simple question: Where’s all the beer down here?? With that in mind, we decided to provide South Jersey with fresh, delicious, local beer to put New Jersey on the map as a craft beer state.
Throughout the year, hundreds of our beers can be found throughout New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware. We are proud to distribute our beers to hundreds of bars, restaurants, and liquor stores, on draft and in cans, ensuring premium freshness and excellent service.
Our Tasting Room is one of the largest and most accessible in the state, with a spacious and sunny Beer Garden. You can visit our gift shop, “The Brewtique,” and take our interactive, self-guided tour. While many production breweries are only open a few hours per week, we are open daily from 12PM–7PM for tours and tastings.”

Their Tasting Room & Beers
The Cape May Brewing Company Tasting Room and Beer Garden are open daily from noon to 7pm with limited capacity. Their new Brewtanical Garden is open Monday through Saturday, noon to 6pm, and Sunday, noon to 4pm. The indoor Tasting Room is open with extremely limited seating during normal business hours. When I was there, I was overwhelmed with the selections of beers and cider! Luckily, they had flights so that I could taste a bunch of different flavors and there was nothing I didn’t love.

We loved our visit to Crafted on the Cape May Brewing Co located in Cape May, New Jersey. Our only regret was not having more time to stay here and try every single beer they offered.
