Ellis Artistic Wonders popped up on my Facebook newsfeed while I scrolled through adorable photos of dogs. It is not uncommon for artists to show off their work and accept commissions. This particular artist, however, stood out because she was creating simple sketches that she dubbed ‘bad pet portraits.’ I have been thinking of commissioning someone to paint my monsters for a while now, so I decided to ask for her price. When she told me that she charges $3 + $1 for an additional pet, I just about died.
Within 30 minutes of paying her via PayPal (she also accepts Venmo), I got a message from her saying “nailed it!” I opened my Facebook messenger to this wonderful piece of art. While the style is simplistic and silly, she managed to capture the essence of both dogs perfectly. Obviously, I began gushing and told her that I would be writing about her on my blog and here we are!

About the Artist
Not only is this young lady talented and offers amazing prices for her art, but she also has a moving story. She is a disabled artist who uses art to cope with chronic pain. Ellis dabbles in all things art, crafting, painting, and more. She hopes to inspire others both mentally and physically. “We are more than our disabilities :)” she writes on her Facebook page, “I sell worldwide and do customs.”
You can follow Ellis Artistic Wonders on Facebook, Instagram as well as her official website. She offers various styles of drawings and is super quick to respond to queries. You can tell that this is her passion and not just a way to make money. I will treasure my ‘bad’ pet portrait of Smiblo forever! However, I will be coming back to get them drawn in more styles. Poor Ellis will be sick of seeing my monsters by the time I’m done commissioning her! Just kidding, she clearly loves what she does which makes me love her.
