The Mulberry Vineyards are located in historic Chepachet in Glocester, Rhode Island. We discovered this great spot due to a recommendation from friends who live in the area. We arrived on a beautiful day, with a large crowd sitting at a safe distance on chairs and blankets brought from home. There was live music by Elise Testone & Mike Sullivan. It was the perfect experience, and if we lived any closer, we’d be coming every week!

“While attending University of Rhode Island, I studied Entomology, Chemistry, and Microbiology. I took Food Science classes identifying different levels of alcohols within the local wines. I consulted for local vineyards on insect pest management and to the chagrin of my mom, began planting grapevines everywhere.
In 1999, I began commercially planting 8 acres of vines and over the past 14 years have learned a great deal about the Rhode Island terroir. Rhode Island has an ideal condition for growing certain varieties of grapes.
In 2011, my wife and I purchased the historical Andrew Brown homestead in Chepachet, Rhode Island. We have been approved to develop and produce some great wines here in Rhode Island. So try Mulberry Vineyards. You’ll enjoy.”

Mulberry Vineyards is a place that we discovered in a series of unlikely events, but we can’t imagine not returning for the great wine and even greater vibes. They have a great lot with chickens, perfect for a day in the sun. Their wine is delicious and super affordable. If we had planned on going straight home afterward, we would have left with a crate like so many others we saw! We can’t wait to come back; we recommend that you check it out too!
