Gooseneck Vineyards was started by two cousins who have a simple life philosophy. They believe that doing what they love and loving what they do is essential to their being. Isaac and I visited Gooseneck Vineyards last week and we were surprised at how small the space was. Our first question was, ‘Where is the actual vineyard?’ Turns out that the owners “scour the globe and find the right elements to create wines that over-deliver but are always true to the grape variety.” So basically, they go to vineyards all over the world and pick out the perfect grapes to create delicious wines.
About Gooseneck Vineyards
Located in the historic village of Wickford in North Kingstown, Gooseneck Vineyards has a cozy spot on Brown Street. It is a great street to walk down and enjoy beautiful buildings that date back to the 1700s. If, like us, you come without a reservation, you may need to give Gooseneck Vineyards your phone number and kill some time until a table opens up. Trust me, it’s worth the wait and there is so much to see in the area.
Gooseneck Vineyards is all about wines, but they also care about animals and the world we live in. In the past they have partnered up with both the Animal Rescue League of Boston and Save the Bay. They donated profits from their sales to help these amazing organizations. One of their wines is also sourced from a vineyard that requires less water which makes it much more eco-friendly.
In addition to offering wine tasting, they have Women Wine & Wellness events as well as a temporarily suspended Providence River Boat Cruise. You can check out their upcoming events here. In a nutshell, their goal is to enhance people’s lives by offering them an amazing product.
“Working hard to make it look easy, we continually seek out ways to deliver wines with the best quality and value. We are proud to put our wines, infused by terroir and endowed by history, on your table tops and into your glasses. We hope Gooseneck Vineyards wines will enhance your everyday moments, just like they do for us, our family, and friends.”

Summary: Gooseneck Vineyards
We discovered Gooseneck Vineyards by accident. Our plan was to go mushroom picking, which is why I was dressed in bright orange and purple – to be safe in the forest during hunting season. Our favorite shroomy spot has a vineyard nearby so we gave them a call. Unfortunately, Leyden Farms was full with lines out the door. Since we already had our pitta and artichoke hummus, our hearts were set on wine more than mushrooms.
So we Googled “Vineyards near us,” and that is how we discovered this gem! Now, we’ll be splitting out wine-drinking time evenly between Leyden Farms, Mulberry Vineyards and Gooseneck Vineyards. Plus, we’ll keep out eye out for other spots because you can never get enough wine. Although between the three I mentioned, I must say that Gooseneck had the most delicious crisp white wines that I have ever tastes. Plus their sparkling rose was to die for. On top of that, their wines are ridiculously reasonably priced, ranging from $16 to $22. Unless you go for their 3 liter bottle for $50.
