We visited LineSider Brewing Company last weekend, not knowing much about it. Basically, we just looked up breweries in our area and we went to another one first that required reservations. Next we tried this one, and we got there just before it got super busy. Turns out that LineSider was the first brewery in East Greenwich, RI!
About LineSider Brewing Company
Like many breweries in Rhode Island, LineSider doesn’t look luck much from the outside. They have a 4,200+ square ft. facility features a large, comfortable tasting room and outdoor courtyard. They are located in East Greenwich, and they opened to the public in November 2018.
LineSider is equipped with a 10 Barrel Production System and are capable of producing up to 1,000 barrels of beer annually. Their tap room offers between 8 and 14 beers on tap at any given time – all brewed by their Head Brewer, Jeremy Ruff.
If you are coming on an empty stomach, do keep in mind that they do not and will not be serving food. However, they have a BYOF (bring your own food) policy and they schedule food truck appearances. When we visited there was a small pierogi stand and it was super popular.
Their tap room is open for tastings, pours, howlers, and growler refills. Per Rhode Island law they can serve each guest three 12oz pours plus tastings. 32 oz. howlers and 4-packs of cans can also be purchased to go. I highly recommend their new Wicked Hahd Seltzah, it is super sour and they can server it in a chocolate-rimmed glass!
The LineSider Brewing Company is a great place to visit all year round. However, I am super excited to come back when it’s warmer to enjoy their outdoor seating. There are few things better than enjoying a freshly poured draft beer outdoors! I’ll be keeping my eye out on LineSider’s food trucks too, I expect to be back soon!
